Aaron Lambert, PhD Candidate

Understanding the mechanistic link between genetic variation and complex traits is one of the most important topics in biology.

I graduated from the University of Sydney in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in genetics and statistics and am currently undertaking my PhD candidature. During my Honours year I sought to clarify the link between the genome and disease mechanisms by pinpointing genetic determinents of adipose tissue composition traits and proteins. Presently, I work on characterising structures in adipose tissue and weaving together metabolic and multi-omics datasets to define the biological contexts in which metabolic diseases arise.
