Lamisa Sadia, Research Assistant

I completed a Bachelor of Medical Science, followed by a Bachelor of Advanced Studies in 2022 (Honours Class I), majoring in Pharmacology at the University of Sydney. During my honours year at the Pain Management Research Institute at the Kolling Institute, my project explored the psychological comorbidities of chronic neuropathic pain in a preclinical model and observed the role of endocannabinoids in psychopharmacological testing. I continued in the same lab as a research assistant, where I was responsible for advancing research from my honours thesis submission and contributed to other projects exploring optogenetics in behavioural studies.

I joined the David James Lab at the Charles Perkins Centre as a research assistant in 2024, where I am assisting on projects across the team.
