Harry Cutler, PhD Candidate

Metabolic health results not just from genetic and environmental factors in isolation, but also from their interaction.

I graduated from the University of Sydney at the end of 2021 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biochemistry and am now beginning my PhD candidature. My primary research interests lie in explicating the mechanisms underlying primary metabolic defects, and in understanding how gene-environment interactions influence ultimate susceptibility to metabolic disease. Research outcomes will facilitate the development of insulin sensitising agents which are sorely needed in human clinical medicine.
